The Undergraduate Program of Business Administration began at NTNU in August 2009, its educational principle being to nurture professional leadership and administrative talent with international perspectives. In August 2015, it changed the name into “Department of Business Administration”

In order to promote cross-territory integration and provide students with more flexible selections, this program breaks through departmental separation to integrate resources from the entire College of Management and provide students with diversified learning in the professional realm of management. After students complete basic management courses, they then decide their major. This course also actively promote cross-specialization academic research and practical implementation plans. Through close cooperation with the business world, instructional and research focus will be integrated with industrial needs, to further increase the competitiveness of students.

Graduate Institute of Management, National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), was established in February 2008, with re-search emphasis on marketing, finance, and strategic management. In August 2008, College of Management was established in time for the transformation of NTNU into a comprehensive university.

NTNU is regarded by most people as a normal university responsible for cultivating teachers for junior and senior high schools. As the government changed the policies on teacher cultivation, teacher cultivation was no longer proprietary to normal schools. Amid the circumstances, NTNU began to focus on talent cultivation for all enterprises and across all disciplines while maintaining the professionalism in teacher cultivation. The trans-formation is now on track. Under the leader-ship of the President Kuoen Chang, National Taiwan Normal University has become one of the twelve members in the Top University program in Taiwan.

Our institute has a great faculty: in addition to the prestigious scholars in the field of management, we have many distinguished researchers recruited from other top universities. The institute is named “Graduate Institute of Management”, which differentiates itself from other management institutes focusing on business and enterprise administration only. With the abundance of resources in Arts, Humanities, Music, Sports and Recreations, students can learn an incomparable variety of management skills from our program. We expect our students to make the most out of our MBA program and become more diverse and creative in their management thinking.

NTNU’s Graduate Institute of Global Business and Strategy (GBS) is the first institute to provide "strategic management" and "global business" that gives first priority to training business professionals in Graduate school. GBS which was formerly known as "Graduate Institute of International Affairs and Global Strategy," was establish on August 1, 2008, a time when National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) transformed into a comprehensive university and established the College of Management. In response to the changes and certain policies, our graduate institute was officially renamed to "Graduate Institute of Global Business and Strategy."

In 2014, NTNU’s College of Management took another step forward by restructuring itself into a professional school. The framework of the College of Management allows GBS to access to a large resource of faculty members while still providing “an international style of teaching, curriculum diversification, professional and competent teachers, and innovative industry and university cooperation". We would like to help students possess strategic thinking and the ability to develop certain tools for the future so that students will be able to compete internationally.

In the ever changing industrial environment, GBS uses many different course modules to adjust to the curriculum needs. By using student-centered teaching philosophy through business management case studies, we plan our modules which allow us to have deep interactive learning and desired outcomes. Many of our alumni have been recruited as managers to be involved in Taiwan's financial services and high-tech industries which have transformed them into elite professionals.

The global fashion industry is one of the most valuable parts of the developed countries’ development. With the coming of the technological age, the consumer group is becoming younger and younger. How to respond to this trend has become a challenge for every fashion industry. In order to promote Taiwan's progress towards a "global fashion" country, National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) has established the first cross-school/cross-college/cross-industry "International Fashion Executive Master of Business Administration (GF-EMBA)" program in Taiwan.

This program recruits middle and senior-level managers with "beauty", "aesthetic sense", and "aesthetics" as the core of the industry to build a first-class learning platform, enhance artistic, aesthetic and cultural literacy, and management abilities, become the golden key for Taiwan to leap to the fashion island, and push Taiwan's fashion industry towards the country of "global fashion".
